  • Notes 

    • Henry purchased a cornetcy in the 2nd dragoons in 1853, it appears he exchanged into the 10th light dragoons in 1854 he purchased a lieutency rank in the 17th and joined the regt in the dec two months after the charge and during the winter.

      He remained with the regt serving in India he retired in 1859 When the regt returned to peace time service It appears in the medal rolls for South Africa a H baring serving in the 17th as a lieutenant I've found no other H baring could he have, rejoined at. A lower rank ? But I don't find him in the regt rolls.
